I’ve been working at a slower pace since I finished the MA, enjoying the more simple things in life and trying not to rush around so much. I made the most of the fine weather we had recently and took to drawing “plein air”

Just drawing for fun, with no real aim other than to observe the world around me. They take longer than I expected and are quite fiddly but I’m getting quicker and looking forward to making much looser drawings. Unfortunately the nights are drawing in and the weather is getting colder so no doubt the majority of the drawings I make in the near future will be made at the life drawing studio where its warm and dry.
Speaking of which:

I will be taking part in this years open studios event at New England House Fri/Sat/Sun, 7/8/9 December where I will be exhibiting a variety of drawings, watercolours and embroideries plus copies of my new limited edition book, details in the next post. Pop by and say hello if you are in the area, thanks for reading.
