I was fortunate enough to visit the Rambert Dance Company in London and draw at their rehearsal. The rehearsal was at an advanced stage so the dance was fairly polished with a lot of fast, swift movements, impossible to capture with representational drawing.
Thanks to my dabbles in drawing in abstraction, I had the confidence to follow their movements with charcoal on paper regardless of what the drawing looked like.
Most of the drawings were just unintelligible marks, smudges and smears but I managed to capture a few of the rare slower movements
